Asian Archaeology由吉林大学边疆考古研究中心主办，创刊于2012年，2013年起由科学出版社连续出版四期。2016年，Asian Archaeology与国际著名出版机构德国斯普林格出版社签订正式的国际期刊出版协议，自2017年开始由该机构出版。

Asian Archaeology是面向国际学术界的全英文学术刊物，是国内高校考古学科主办的第一部英文期刊。Asian Archaeology以刊发中国以及亚洲其他地区的考古新发现、新成果、新观点为主，主要读者群是国外从事亚洲考古研究和对亚洲考古感兴趣的学者。

Asian Archaeology的作者除中国学者外，还有来自欧洲、北美、东亚、中亚、南亚，以及澳洲等国家和地区的学者，研究区域涉及了包括中国在内的东亚地区、东南亚地区、中亚地区和欧亚草原，研究领域包括考古学理论与方法、农业起源、聚落变迁、文化的交流与互动，以及环境考古、植物考古、古DNA、古代器物材料分析等。

Editorial procedure

Single-blind peer review

This journal follows a single-blind reviewing procedure.

This journal also publishes special/guest-edited issues. The peer review process for these articles is the same as the peer review process of the journal in general.

Additionally, if a guest editor authors an article in their issue/collection, they will not handle the peer review process.

Manuscript Submission

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Permissions

Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.

How to Submit

Manuscripts should preferably be submitted in the original file format and in PDF format.

Please ensure you provide all relevant editable source files. Failing to submit these source files might cause unnecessary delays in the review and production process.
