Instrumentation is an open access peer-reviewed research journal. Authors are solicited to submit high quality articles of most up-to-date applications, experiments, projects and surveys to demonstrate their findings in the fields of instrumentation and measurement. The mission of Instrumentation is to provide a platform for the researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners and students from all over the world to exchange and share knowledge. It combines theory and practice together to illustrate researching achievements and emerging technologies.

Instrumentation publishes articles submitted in English, it welcomes author submission of original and significant contributions. Articles should not have been previously published or currently under consideration for publication at any other place, only original and unpublished researching results are accepted.

Instrumentation是一本由中国科协主管、中国仪器仪表学会主办，同行评议的高水平英语语言学术期刊，汇聚了国际知名专家，吸纳优秀稿源，反映国际前沿科研水平状况。其旨在报国内外仪器仪表最新研究成果和前沿性学术论文、研究综述，促进仪器仪表领域研究及应用发展，搭建从业人员科研交流平台和科技成果国际化发布平台，为提升我国在国际仪器仪表领域影响力服务。

Instrumentation于2014年6月正式出创刊号，为来自世界各地的专家、教授、学者和工程技术人员提供交流信息、研讨问题、展示最新成果的高端科研发布和学术交流平台，提倡科学思想创新，重视科学实验验证。希望研究机构与在校师生积极投稿，只有在创刊时给予期刊最大的支持，才能让期刊蓬勃发展，日后拿到更多国内外优秀的稿件，并根据我国的行业现状与发展特点，刊登出我们需要和想看到的文章，打造能为我国仪器仪表和测控行业努力进行科学研究做出服务的期刊。
