The results of any experimental approach that meets these objectives are welcome, particularly biochemical, molecular genetic, physiological, and/or physical investigations into microbial cells and their interactions with their environments.

FEMS MICROBIOLOGY REVIEWS《FEMS微生物学评论》（双月刊）. FEMS Microbiology Reviews publishes reviews dealing with all aspects of microbiology that have not been surveyed recently. Reviews should be devoted to topics of current interest and provide comprehensive, critical and authoritative coverage. They should provide new perspectives and critical, detailed discussions of significant trends in the areas being reviewed and may contain elements of a speculative and selective nature. All reviews should address both specialists and the general reader. Whenever possible, reviews should be put into the framework of general microbiology and biology. Manuscripts of lectures delivered at symposia that do not review the related field are not acceptable, nor are unevaluated compilations of the literature.

JOURNAL OF BASIC MICROBIOLOGY《基础微生物学杂志》（月刊）. The Journal of Basic Microbiology (JBM) publishes primary research papers on both procaryotic and eucaryotic microorganisms, including bacteria, archaea, fungi, algae, protozoans, phages, viruses, viroids and prions.

The methodology is usually derived from the areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology, biotechnology and taxonomy. Acta Microbiologica et Immunologica Hungarica《匈牙利微生物学与免疫学报》（季刊）. AMIH is devoted to the publication of research in all fields of medical microbiology (bacteriology, virology, parasitology, mycology); immunology of infectious diseases and study of the microbiome related to human diseases.
