DYNA

Author Guidelines

Authors are advised to submit their articles in English, since publications in this language have a better chance of increasing international visibility and citation, both for the authors as well as for the journal.

Article submission

Your submitted article must be accompanied by a Cover Letter, requesting the article’s publication in the journal, stating that the article has been approved by all of its authors. 4 possible peer review candidates must be recommended (2 national peers and 2 international peers) for the articles’ specific topic; if needed, attach any necessary permissions to republish previously published material. Along with the Cover Letter, the article will be submitted to the Open Journal System, OJS, in the UN’s Virtual Library (go to Article Submission).

Articles with the following characteristics will NOT be considered for publication:

Previously published in another scientific/informative journal or magazine.

A translation or use of material protected by intellectual property rights.

A critique of the state of the art of engineering which does not contribute to or innovate on the topic.

An article which comes from class notes.

Articles which are offensive or severe intended for individuals, research groups, products and/or other services.

For policies to promote visibility at the international level, preference is given to publishing articles in English. For what the Editorial Committee recommends you submit your article for evaluation in this language.

Authors will submit their articles through the Open Journal System (OJS), after going to the OJS System website and registering as a user.

Authors must adjust their articles to comply with the Presentation Format and consult the Article Submission Format Model.

Load the manuscript in WORD suitable for blind review "without informing the authors" (NOT .ZIP or other compressed file), in their original version. Upload supplementary files (letters of use and originality, images, original version of the paper as it should be, with names of authors, instittucional affiliation, city, country, email and others, etc.)

Authors must complete the Register of Articles (in the system OJA) and send it, along with the Cover Letter, as an attached file, through the Open Journal System (OJS).

Once the Article, the Cover Letter and the Article Registration Form have been properly submitted through the OJS, the system will send acknowledgement of receipt to the author registered in the system. All communication regarding the article and the supplementary material’s process will take place through the registered email of the article’s principal author.

In the event that the article is accepted for publishing, the authors must read the Transfer of Economic Rights to DYNA document carefully and completely. It must be signed by all of the authors and it is to be handed in once the final version has been vetted for publishing.

Article Format

The maximum length permitted is 10 single-spaced, letter size pages, including the ABSTRACT (150 words maximum) in English and Spanish (RESUMEN), and the KEY WORDS (between 3 and 10 words), also in English and Spanish (PALABRAS CLAVE).

Every article will be subjected to a peer review, designed by the Editorial Committee. Exceptions will be determined by the Committee.

Articles shall be submitted according to the Article Submission Format Model. Due to layout limitations, footnotes will not be permitted.

The following items must be written under the article’s title (in Spanish and in English):

Author(s)’s  name(s),

Highest degree or qualification earned,

Each author’s institutional affiliation (complete name of the Institution, without abbreviations nor acronyms), city and country.

Email address. In case the addresses belong to the same domain, they should NOT be grouped, but written out completely and separately.

At the end of the article, after the References a biography of each author (maximum 150 per biography). See Model Format for Submitting Articles.
