标题页

需包含文章标题、作者姓名、作者单位、通讯作者、通讯地址。

摘要与关键词

摘要：作者需提供简洁详实、客观陈述事实的摘要，字数不得超过250词。摘要应简要阐明本研究的研究目的、主要研究结果及核心结论。

关键词：为便于文献检索，作者需提供4–8个关键词。

研究亮点（非必须）

BSCD建议作者在投稿时同步提交研究亮点。

研究亮点为简短的要点式陈述内容，需提炼研究的创新性研究成果，以及研究过程中所采用的各类创新方法。研究亮点有助于提升论文在搜索引擎中的检索曝光度。

文章结构

引言

引言部分需明确阐述研究目标。BSCD建议作者充分陈述研究背景，但勿撰写详细的文献综述或研究结果概述。

方法

方法学章节需详细阐述研究使用的材料与方法，确保独立研究者能够依据该内容重复你的研究过程。

结果

结果部分需清晰、简洁且具备可重复性。

讨论

讨论部分应深入探讨研究结果的意义，切勿重复赘述结果内容。BSCD建议作者避免在讨论部分大量引用已发表文献，也避免对已发表文献展开过多讨论。

结论

结论部分应呈现研究的主要结论。你可设置独立的“结论”章节，也可将结论内容纳入“讨论”章节的子小节，或“结果与讨论”章节中。

参考文献

参考文献引用需严格遵循美国心理学会（APA）第七版制定的参考文献著录规范。

参考文献列表需先按作者姓氏字母顺序排列；同一作者（或同一组作者）的多篇文献，再按发表年份由早到晚排序。若同一作者（或同一组作者）在同一年份有多篇文献需列入列表，需在年份后添加小写字母“a”“b”“c”等进行区分（示例: Zhang, 2023a; Zhang & Li, 2023b）。

伦理

涉及人类或者动物的研究，均须遵循相关伦理准则。针对人类研究对象开展的相关研究，均需获得研究对象的知情同意。

Welcome to the Launch of Brain Science and Child Development!

BSCD

is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to

advancing the understanding of brain, cognitive, psychological, and

behavioral development from birth through adolescence. We publish

original research, reviews, short communications, correspondence, and

editorials from a variety of disciplines, including neuroscience,

psychology, education, medicine, and sociology. Our journal serves a

broad audience, including researchers, educators, and policymakers,

offering scientific support to optimize child development policies,

promote educational equity, and foster the healthy growth of children.

Aims and scope

Brain

Science and Child Development (BSCD) is an international, open-access

journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research on brain

science and child development. The journal provides a platform for

academic exchange and collaboration across diverse fields, including

neuroscience, psychology, education, medicine, biology, sociology, and

economics. BSCD welcomes both theoretical and applied studies that

investigate the development of the brain, cognition, and behavior in

children.

BSCD

focuses on fundamental scientific questions surrounding brain,

cognitive, psychological, and behavioral development from birth through

adolescence. The journal emphasizes cross-disciplinary and multi-domain

research, particularly welcoming studies that are innovative,

forward-thinking, and impactful in both theoretical and practical

contexts. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, the following

themes:

Structural and functional brain development in children and its relationship with behavioral outcomes.

Links between brain development and cognition, emotion and social behavior.

Methodology of neurobiology, cognitive neuroscience, psychology, behavioral genetics in the study of child development.

Development of cognitive processes, including attention, memory and language.

Emotional regulation, social cognition and moral behavior.

Early interventions for neurodevelopmental and mental disorders, including ADHD, ASD, Anxiety and Depression.

Correspondence

Letter to the editor or a reply to the letter. Note. The reply needs a “refers-to” DOI or PII numbera.

Editorial

From the (guest) editor of the publication. Can be Foreword, Editorial, Guest Editorial, Preface, etc.

Peer review

This

journal follows a single anonymized review process. Your submission

will initially be assessed by our editors to determine suitability for

publication in this journal. If your submission is deemed suitable, it

will typically be sent to a minimum of two reviewers for an independent

expert assessment of the scientific quality. The decision as to whether

your article is accepted or rejected will be taken by our editors. This

decision is final.

Our editors are not involved in making decisions about papers which:

they have written themselves.

have been written by family members or colleagues.

relate to products or services in which they have an interest.

Any

such submissions will be subject to the journal's usual procedures and

peer review will be handled independently of the editor involved and

their research group.

All

manuscripts are reviewed by the editorial office. Any papers which fail

to meet the basic standards of the journal will be desk-rejected for

reasons like out of scope, ethical conflicts, high similarities, lack of

originality, flaws in research design or methods, etc. The editorial

office will reassign selected papers to the Editor-in-chief.

The

Editor-in-chief will invite multiple reviewers to review the paper or

assign an editorial board member to invite reviewers to review this

paper.

After

at least two reviewers give their reviews and comments, the

Editor-in-chief (or the assigned Editor) provides feedback to the

authors, based on reviewer comments and his own review comments.

When

the author submits the revised manuscript, the assigned editor and

Editor-in-chief will collaborate to make a final decision.

For

submissions from the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, Guest

Editor(s), other journal Board members, and authors who have conflicts

of interest with them, we ensure that the paper is handled

confidentially by a different team member.

For

submissions to Special Issues; if there are conflicts of interest

between the Guest Editor(s) and authors, the submissions will be handled

by another Editor from the Editorial Board who will manage the peer

review process and make the decision whether to accept or reject the

paper after peer review.

is an open access journal: all articles will be immediately and

permanently free for everyone to read and download. To provide open

access, this journal has an open access fee (also known as an article

publishing charge APC) which needs to be paid by the authors or on their

Article Publishing Charge (APC)

As

an open access journal with no subscription charges, a fee (Article

Publishing Charge, APC) is payable by the authors, or their institution

or funders, to cover the costs associated with publication. This ensures

your article will be immediately and permanently free to access by

everyone.

Article publication charges are currently waived.

Ethics in publishing

Authors must follow ethical guidelines stated in Elsevier's Publishing Ethics Policy.

Submission declaration

When authors submit an article to a journal it is implied that:

the

work described has not been published previously except in the form of a

preprint, an abstract, a published lecture or academic thesis. See our

policy on multiple, redundant or concurrent publication.

the article is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

the

article’s publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or

explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried

accepted, the article will not be published elsewhere in the same form,

in English or in any other language, including electronically without

the written consent of the copyright-holder.

ORCiD ID: Our journal supports the use of ORCiD ID. Authors are encouraged to provide ORCiD ID at submission.

Authorship

All authors should have made substantial contributions to all of the following:

The conception and design of the study, or acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data

Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content.

Final approval of the version to be submitted.

All

authors are accountable for all aspects of the work, to ensure that

questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work

are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Authors

should appoint a single corresponding author to communicate with the

journal during the editorial process. This individual submits the

manuscript and all required documentation to the journal, and serves as

the primary contact between the journal and the co-authors. Only the

corresponding author’s affiliation will be used to determine eligibility

for a publishing agreement, and possible discounts related to it.

Affiliations of other co-authors are not relevant for eligibility.

Changes to authorship

The

editors of this journal generally will not consider changes to

authorship once a manuscript has been submitted. It is important that

authors carefully consider the authorship list and order of authors and

provide a definitive author list at submission.

The policy of this journal around authorship changes:

All

authors must be listed in the manuscript and their details entered into

the submission system. Changes can only be made prior to acceptance,

and only if approved by the journal editor. This includes additions,

deletion, or rearrangement of author names.

Requests

to change authorship must be made by the corresponding author using the

Authorship Change Request form. The corresponding author must provide

the reason for the request to the journal editor with written

confirmation from all authors, including any authors being added or

removed, that they agree with the changes. Requests which do not comply

with the instructions outlined in the form will not be considered.

This

journal does not allow authorship changes after acceptance. This

includes additions, deletions, or the rearrangement of author names,

including changes to the corresponding author.

The review process may be paused while a change in authorship request is being considered.

Change

requests made by the authors without the Authorship Change Request form

or editor approval may result in the rejection of the manuscript, or

retraction if the article has already been published.
