《亚洲政治经济评论（英文）》期刊简介

（Asian Review of Political Economy）

《亚洲政治经济评论》（Asian Review of Political Economy，ARPE）是由香港中文大学（深圳）前海国际事务研究院与上海交通大学国际与公共事务学院联合主办的一本全英文学术期刊，由前海国际事务研究院院长、上海交通大学政治经济研究院名誉院长郑永年担任主编。本刊力求促进全方位理解亚洲及其他地区的政治经济，围绕传统和新兴的政治经济议题，鼓励跨学科研究，发表有理论创见和政策导向的研究成果。涵盖的主题包括但不限于发展、分配、金融、贸易、投资、产业和技术以及新兴的全球安全挑战。本刊由施普林格•自然集团以开放获取(Open Access)模式出版，采用Editorial Manager (EM) 系统接收投稿与审稿，并在www.springer.com进行全文发布。

Article Types

Research article: approximately 9000 to 12,000 words in length, including notes and references. Tables, figures, and appendixes need not be included in the word count. Research articles pose important substantive and important questions on political economy; significantly advance theoretical debates; and present original empirical research to advance our understanding of on these issues.

Review article: with a maximum 8,000 words (including tables, references, figure captions and endnotes), review articles provide comprehensive, authoritative, descriptions of developments and contributions to the issue at hand; identify gaps in the existing literature; and outline key research needs moving forward. Particularly, reviews on non-English publications are welcome.

Book Review: (between 800 and 1,000 words in length) is a critical analysis of the book that describes, summarizes, and critiques the ideas in the book. We welcome reviews on both English and non-English books that deal with the political economy of Asia. Book reviews should be in MS Word as attached files and sent to arpe_eic@sjtu.edu.cn.

Research notes: (maximum 8,000 words) must be of similar importance and potential impact but likely with a somewhat narrower objective. For example, research notes can present new empirical evaluations of important existing theoretical propositions. Or, research notes could focus on conceptual and theoretical contributions without providing new empirical evidence. Research notes may also provide new descriptive analyses of important trends that call into question current understandings and/or generate new questions for future research, such as the rise or decline in the number of and intensity of wars or long-term trends in (some aspect of) globalization.

Manuscript Submission

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
