About Verse Version

Verse

Version, a professional platform for worldwide communication of English

and Chinese poetry, founded by Zhang Guangkui who is a scholar and

poet, is a nonprofit quarterly journal publishing English and Chinese

poetry with corresponding translations, as well as poetics and papers.

As a comprehensive journal composed of both literary and academic

elements, it pursues appropriate introduction and translation of English

and Chinese poetry and aims to encourage studies relevant to poetry and

poetics. The journal is registered with Print ISSN2051-526X/Online ISSN

2399-9705 in the United Kingdom, published by LEOMAN PUBLISHING CO.,

LTD.

About Contributions

The

journal welcomes manuscripts from all over the world. The manuscripts

and versions should be authorized and submitted by the original

writer/translator or the agent of the writer/translator (labels from

authorized sources are required). Any responsibility related to

copyright disputes should be undertaken by the author/translator. Please

send your contributions to verseversion@gmail.com,

verseversion@163.com. The original and translation should be sent in the

form of Microsoft Word in the following order—a brief introduction of

the author, a brief introduction of the translator, original poem, the

original source of the material, and translation. The postal address,

email address and telephone number are necessary too. Contributions sent

in wrong formats will not be accepted. The right is reserved by our

editors to make appropriate revision for translation. For the lack of

financial sponsors, no royalty will be paid, and if paper publications

are wanted, you are expected to pay the basic costs.

An International Academic Journal of Poetry, Poetics & Poetry Translation

Call for Papers

Verse

Version is a professional, nonprofit international platform dedicated

to the global communication of poetry and its translation. As a

semi-annual academic journal, we publish peer-reviewed scholarly papers

in the fields of poetry, poetics, poetry translation, and related

studies.

The

journal is officially registered in the United Kingdom (Print ISSN:

2051-526X / Online ISSN: 2399-9705) and published by LEOMAN PUBLISHING

CO., LTD. All submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review, and

only original, high-quality academic papers written in English will be

considered.

Scope of Publication

We welcome original research articles in, but not limited to, the following areas:

Poetry and Poetics

Poetry Translation

Studies on Poetry and Related Discourses

Submission Guidelines

Language: English only

Article Length: Generally between 2000 and 4000 words in English.

Formatting:

All manuscripts must follow APA style. After acceptance, authors will

be requested to revise the manuscript format in accordance with the

journal’s guidelines.

Corresponding

Author: We support the practice of designating a corresponding author.

Authors may nominate a corresponding author at the time of submission.

The corresponding author's contact information will be provided in the

published article to facilitate academic communication and inquiries.

Peer Review: Double-blind peer review applies to all submissions.

Publication

Fee: To support DOI registration and international indexing costs, each

accepted article will be subject to a basic publication fee of USD 300.

Additional charges may apply for articles exceeding three pages.

Notes

The

fee applies only to accepted papers. Authors will be notified of

payment details after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review

and been formally accepted for publication.

Authors

shall bear full responsibility for the content of their submissions and

are required to conduct plagiarism checks, including for content

generated by AIGC tools.

Submission

implies the author's consent for the journal to apply for a DOI and to

allow the article to be indexed and retrieved by relevant academic

platforms and databases.

As a nonprofit academic platform, the journal does not offer remuneration for published articles.

版面费：为支持DOI 注册及国际检索基础费用，每篇文章收取$300 (美元) 的基础版面费，超过3 个版面的稿件将酌情加收费用。

特别说明

版面费仅适用于通过审稿并被正式录用的稿件。稿件经同行评审通过并正式录用后，编辑部将另行通知作者有关缴费事宜。
