Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research publishes manuscripts on all aspects of pigment cells including development, cell and molecular biology, genetics, diseases of pigment cells including melanoma. Papers that provide insights into the causes and progression of melanoma including the process of metastasis and invasion, proliferation, senescence, apoptosis or gene regulation are especially welcome, as are papers that use the melanocyte system to answer questions of general biological relevance. Papers that are purely descriptive or make only minor advances to our knowledge of pigment cells or melanoma in particular are not suitable for this journal.

Mechanisms of Ageing and Development is a multidisciplinary journal aimed at revealing the molecular, biochemical and biological mechanisms that underlie the processes of ageing and development in various species as well as of age-associated diseases. Emphasis is placed on investigations that delineate the contribution of macromolecular damage and cytotoxicity, genetic programs, epigenetics and genetic instability, mitochondrial function, alterations of metabolism and innovative anti-aging approaches. For all of the mentioned studies it is necessary to address the underlying mechanisms. Purely descriptive or correlative or case studies as well as various -omics data not linked to functional analyses are not considered.
