Differences: A Journal of Feminist Cultural Studies first appeared in 1989 at the moment of a critical encounter—a head-on collision, one might say—of theories of difference (primarily Continental) and the politics of diversity (primarily American). Launched in 1994, Gender, Work & Organization was the first journal to provide an arena dedicated to debate and analysis of gender relations, the organization of gender and the gendering of organizations. Since then Gender, Work & Organization has published multi-disciplinary, high quality qualitative empirical research on gendered power relations and identities in the study of work and organization exploring issues of inclusion and exclusion. It has also published quantitative work guided by critical epistemologies on issues such as the gender pay gap, flexible work, career patterns, women on boards and access to leadership positions.

Asian Journal of WomenS Studies《亚洲女性研究杂志》（季刊）. Asian Journal of Womens Studies (AJWS) is an academic journal owned by the Asian Center for Womens Studies (ACWS) and published by Routledge, Taylor & Francis. As a multi-disciplinary international forum for the presentation of feminist scholarship and criticism in the fields of the humanities and the social sciences, AJWS was first published as an annual issue in 1995. Since 1997, AJWS has been circulated quarterly by the Asian Center for Women’s Studies at Ewha Womans University, Seoul, South Korea.

Womens Studies International Forum (formerly Womens Studies International Quarterly, established in 1978) is a bimonthly journal to aid the distribution and exchange of feminist research in the multidisciplinary, international area of womens studies and in feminist research in other disciplines. The policy of the journal is to establish a feminist forum for discussion and debate.The journal seeks to critique and reconceptualize existing knowledge, to examine and re-evaluate the manner in which knowledge is produced and distributed, and to assess the implications this has for womens lives.
