The popular culture movement was founded on the principle that the perspectives and experiences of common folk offer compelling insights into the social world.

The European Journal of English Studies presents work of the highest quality in Anglophone critical theory, literary, linguistic, cultural, media, and sexuality studies. This coheres with the plurality of English and Anglophone studies in Europe and relates to the journal’s association with the European Society for the Study of English.Pronounced “edges,” the journal takes an interest in topics that investigate borders and overlaps between interdisciplinary scholarship in English and Anglophone Studies.

Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies《西班牙文化研究杂志》（季刊）. Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies is an international peer-reviewed journal that interrogates cultural production and cultural practices in or related to the nations comprised by the Spanish state. It promotes innovative theoretical and critical work at a high intellectual level that fills existing gaps in scholarship or rethinks the cultural meanings of previously studied material. Work across disciplinary boundaries is encouraged, as is work that addresses Spain’s internal cultural configuration or its relationship to broader geo-political scenarios (Iberian peninsula, Mediterranean, Europe, the Americas, Africa, etc.).

Modern Chinese Literature and Culture《中国现代文学与文化》（半年刊）. Modern Chinese Literature and Culture is a peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary cultural studies journal. In addition to literary studies, MCLC publishes on a broad range of subjects from film to popular culture, to performance and visual arts, to architecture, to regional cultures, to print and material cultures. Our view of culture includes the elite and the popular, the visual and the literary, as well as the less “textual” culture of everyday life. The journal encourages the use of photographs, graphics, film or video stills.
