Over the years it has published the writings of many important composers and musicologists, including Aaron Copland, Arnold Schoenberg, Marc Blitzstein, Henry Cowell, and Camille Saint-Saens. The journal focuses on the merging areas in scholarship where much of the challenging new work in the study of music is being produced.

Museum Management and Curatorship (MMC) is a peer-reviewed, international journal for museum professionals, scholars, students, educators and consultants that examines current issues in depth, and provides up-to-date research, analysis and commentary on developments in museum practice. It is published five times a year and all submitted manuscripts will undergo double-blind review. Museum International is the International Council of Museum’s peer-reviewed journal, which is committed to fostering knowledge sharing within the international museum community. The journal aims to provoke debate in the museum and heritage fields by publishing multidisciplinary, international research articles, case studies, reports and reviews. Museum International favours a thematic approach, with each issue dedicated to a specific theme selected by an international editorial board. The editorial board ensures that the journal reflects contemporary issues in the museum field and the diversity of the international museum community.

La revue Le Muséon, Revue d’études orientales , fondée en 1881 par Ch. de Harlez est spécialisée dans le domaine de l’Orient chrétien ancien et médiéval, y compris le monde biblique, la civilisation byzantine et les débuts de l’Islam. Elle publie des textes arabes, arméniens, coptes, éthiopiens, géorgiens, grecs, nubiens, syriaques, etc., des études originales portant sur ces textes et sur les traditions des diverses nations de l’Orient chrétien. MUQARNAS-AN ANNUAL ON THE VISUAL CULTURES OF THE ISLAMIC WORLD《穆卡纳斯: 伊斯兰世界视觉文化年刊》（年刊）. Founded by Oleg Grabar in 1983, Muqarnas is the first academic journal devoted to visual cultures of the Islamic world. Muqarnas will consider for publication articles on all aspects of Islamic visual cultures, historical and contemporary, as well as articles dealing with unpublished textual primary sources. Muqarnas is sponsored by The Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Le Moyen Âge《中世纪》（季刊）. Founded in 1888 by three French and Belgian scholars (A. Marignan, G. Platon and M. Wilmotte), the journal Le Moyen Âge was originally little more than a bulletin of information and critical reviews for Francophone medievalists. Progressively, the journal gained the support of regular contributors and preeminent scholars which, thus, allowed for a broadening of the scope of work. Henceforth, it would be dedicated to history and ancillary sciences, on the one hand, and to literary history and philology of the Middle Ages, on the other. This original character is quite rare among the other journals dedicated to medieval studies.

The Moving Image《动态影像》（半年刊）. The Moving Image explores topics relevant to both the media archivist and the media scholar. The Moving Image deals with crucial issues surrounding the preservation, archiving, and restoration of film, video, and digital moving images.
