Source-Notes in the History of Art《源：艺术史札记》（季刊）. Source was founded in 1981 as a scholarly journal in art history. Its mission is to publish articles of 2,500 words or less, accompanied by a maximum of three illustrations. The range of articles spans antiquity to the present and includes western and non-western art. The original premise has been borne out: there is an audience for scholarly articles in art history that are clearly written, adequately illustrated and above all, succinct. Furthermore, scholars welcome having a forum to present ideas and speculations that don’t warrant a major treatise, but might nevertheless make interesting “notes” for specialists and non-specialists alike.

Soundings《发声》（一年3期）. At Soundings we believe that the left’s main task is to put together a strong counter-hegemonic challenge to the powerful forces ranged against it – and that serious thinking is an important part of activism.The journal was established in 1995 by Stuart Hall, Doreen Massey and Michael Rustin. Its aim, then as now, was to offer ideas that could assist the left in thinking strategically about the dilemmas and challenges it faces. The journal’s theoretical framework is broadly based on the traditions of the New Left, but it also draws on emerging ideas from contemporary movements and cultural politics.

Sophia《智慧》（季刊）. Sophia is now published by Springer. The back files, all the way to Volume 1:1, are available via SpringerLink!Since its inception in 1962, Sophia has been devoted to providing a forum for discussions in philosophy and religion, focusing on the interstices between metaphysics and theological thinking. The discussions take cognizance of the wider ambience of the sciences (natural philosophy and human/social sciences), ethical and moral concerns in the public sphere, critical feminist theology and cross-cultural perspectives.

Sociétés《社会》（季刊）. Depuis plus de 20 ans et à travers presque une centaine de parutions, la revue Sociétés propose un espace interdisciplinaire ouvert pour les sciences humaines et sociales.Résolument orientée vers les collaborations internationales, Sociétés s’est fait à la fois l’écho des discussions sur l’épistémologie des sciences sociales, ainsi que des questionnements de terrains et de phénomènes émergents.Une part importante est donnée aux auteurs étrangers, notamment du Brésil, de la Corée, des États-Unis, d’Italie, d’Allemagne…Les thématiques de la sociologie de l’imaginaire et du quotidien y tiennent une part importante.

Social History《社会史》（季刊）. Established in 1976, Social History publishes high quality and innovative historical scholarship without restrictions of period or place. This peer reviewed journal, published quarterly, encourages research articles that take as their starting point much longer periods of time than is now the norm, and have an ambition of scale that is commonplace in historical sociology, historical geography and demography. Case studies, particularly when integrated with broader considerations, will continue to have their place in the pages of Social History.

Small Axe《小斧子》（一年3期）. Small Axe focuses on publishing critical work that examines the ideas that guided the formation of Caribbean modernities. It mainly includes scholarly articles, opinion essays, and interviews, but it also includes literary works of fiction and poetry, visual arts, and reviews.

Slovo《词》（半年刊）. Slovo is an interdisciplinary, postgraduate peer-reviewed academic journal, entirely managed and edited by postgraduate students at the University College Londons School of Slavonic and East European Studies. It is dedicated to the study of the political, social, economic, and cultural affairs of Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.

Slavonic and East European Review《斯拉夫与东欧评论》（季刊）. Slavonic and East European Review, the journal of the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University College London, is published by the Modern Humanities Research Association and UCL SSEES.

Slavic and East European Journal《斯拉夫与东欧杂志》（季刊）. The Slavic and East European Journal (SEEJ) serves the Slavic profession by publishing original research and review essays in the areas of Slavic and East European languages, literatures, cultures, linguistics, and methodology/pedagogy as well as reviews of books published in these areas. The journal is published quarterly by the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL).SEEJ is the oldest American Slavist academic journal. Founded in the years following World War II, it took on its modern form in the 1950s under the leadership of Professor J. Thomas Shaw, the famous Pushkinist.
